New festivals, new trends and Find My Leisure Vehicle

The latest trends, a new festival and a website for campervan and motorhome fans! There are many exciting things happening in the industry right now and this week Matt is diving into the latest trends and events.
First up, Matt shares some insights into the new modern movement in camping equipment and accessories, including luxury furniture ranges that could have been pulled straight out of a designer catalogue.

The rise in popularity of glamping

Less camping and more glamping? It certainly seems to be a trend in the last few years as more people in motorhomes, caravans and campervans turn to UK campsites as a holiday destination.
There are huge changes taking place that Matt has found intriguing to observe, not least being the ever-expanding price range of tents and camping gear, with plenty of products coming to the market that wouldn't look out of place in a high-end retail setting.
Matt spoke with Wendy and Vanessa, two people in the know working behind the scenes at Anytime Booking managing over 17,000 pitches and 2,000 glamping units across the UK. Anytime Booking is a software company used by many campsites (even by our own motorhome hire business) to manage reservations and customer booking communications.
Wendy and Vanessa give their views on recent trends, what is changing in the industry and for consumers and what the future might hold for our campsite-based holidays.

Travelling solo with kids with Caroline Mills

Caroline's husband is a busy farmer who can rarely travel, which means she frequently goes on her motorhome adventures alone or with her kids. One of her first trips was a 15-month tour of Europe with her young children, her youngest being just 8 weeks old!
